The MEMORIES 4K Remastered Set (released December 24, 2025) celebrates the 30th anniversary of Katsuhiro Otomo's legendary sci-fi anime omnibus. Priced at 15,400 (tax included), this limited-edition [4K Ultra HD Blu-ray + standard Blu-ray] set features stunning 4K scans and includes storyboards and a thick script collection.
This release faithfully preserves Otomo's visionary sci-fi anthology using high-resolution 4K film scanning to bring out the dynamic color and intense detail of the original cel animation. The special edition (Product Code: BCQA-0023) includes Japanese audio with English subtitles, making it highly accessible to international collectors.
The set includes:
"Magnetic Rose" (): Directed by Koji Morimoto with a screenplay by Satoshi Kon, following space salvagers trapped inside a massive, opera-themed illusion.
"Stink Bomb" (): Directed by Tensai Okamura, a dark comedy about a young lab worker who accidentally ingests an experimental chemical that turns him into a walking biological weapon.
"Cannon Fodder" (): Directed by Otomo himself, detailing a stylized, militaristic society completely devoted to firing massive cannons at an unseen enemy.
